Defensible Space to Save Your Place

Because we live in a fire-prone ecosystem, it’s not a matter of if a fire will burn in this area; it’s a matter of when.  Defensible space is the area around the home where the vegetation has been managed to reduce the chance of ignition during a wildfire.  If we use fire resistant landscaping and building materials, we greatly increase the odds that our homes will survive a wildfire.
